  The injury that started long before the pain When most people think about injuries, they imagine a single moment, where, a rolled ankle happened during a run, a painful shoulder while lifting weights, or a knee giving way during a game. It feels sudden, unexpected, and unfortunate. In reality, many injuries begin long before pain is ever felt. Poor movement patterns, limited mobility, inadequate recovery, excessive training loads, or repeatedly using improper technique can gradually increase stress on the body. Day after day, that stress accumulates until the body can no longer compensate, and what appears to be a "sudden" injury is often the result of weeks, months, or even years of underlying issues.
